Prefabricated colored plastic pieces assembled into a curtain
192 x 315 cm / 76 x 125 in.
A curtain was installed in relation to one window in the exhibition space, a former textile factory. It was assembled from prefabricated plastic pieces, conventionally used by the local merchants of the surrounding village to create customized entrance curtains for their small shops, bars and restaurants. The curtain's patterned design was an abstraction of the colored tile surface of the local town hall, which was visible through the window. This modernist building with its strong geometric form and primary coloration was in stark contrast to the more traditional architecture of the surrounding factory complex and village.
